Understanding The American Association Of Hispanic Certified Public Accountants Scholarship

ALPFA Annual Scholarship Program

This is a one-time award given to undergraduate and graduate students of Latino/Hispanic heritage seeking degrees in finance, accounting, and associated majors.  The award, is based on both academic performance and financial need.  The applicant must be enrolled full-time at a U.S. university or college, is required to have at least a 3.0 GPA, and must have legal permanent residency in the U.S. or be a U.S. resident.

Academic Disciplines/ Professional Aspirations: Accounting; Business/ Consumer Services

Award: This scholarship can be used during freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior years.  The scholarship is not renewable.  Number: The number of awards given varies.  Amount: The amount awarded is $1,250-$1,500.

Requirements for Eligibility: The applicant must be of Hispanic or Latino heritage and either enrolled full-time or planning to enroll full-time at a two-year or four-year college or university.  Applicant must have at least a 3.0 GPA.  This scholarship is available to U.S. citizens only.

Requirements for Application: Application, financial need assessment, essay composition, school transcript, and personal references.  Deadline: March 15
