Chairscholars Foundation Inc. Scholarships
This scholarship award is for students with severe physical challenges. Acceptable applicants are high school seniors or college freshmen. Applicants should be exceptional citizens with track records of participating in public service. Applicants are required to have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.5. Ten to twelve renewable scholarships of $5,000 are awarded. Applicants must be 21 years of age or less.
Award: This scholarship is for use during freshman year. This scholarship is renewable. Number: The number of scholarships awarded is 15-20. Amount: The amount of the scholarship awarded is $5,000.
Requirements for Eligibility: The applicant must not be older that 21 years of age. The applicant must either be enrolled or anticipating to enroll full-time at a two-year of four-year college or university. Either the applicant or a parent of the applicant is required to have volunteer or work experience in the area of community service. The applicant must have a physical disability. The applicant is required to have a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.5. This school scholarship is only available to United States citizens.
Requirements for Application: Essay composition, application, financial need assessment, autobiography, personal references, portfolio, photo, resume, self addressed stamped envelope, school transcript, test scores, and parent’s tax return from the previous year. Deadline: May 31.
