Distinguished Student Scholar Award
This scholarship award is given to a student as recognition of an education major who has demonstrated a strong commitment to education and shown a potential for leadership. This scholarship is awarded in odd years. A minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 is mandatory.

Award: This scholarship award is for use during freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior years. This scholarship is not renewable. Number: The number of scholarships awarded is 1. Amount: The amount of the scholarship awarded is $500.
Requirements for Eligibility: Applicants are required to be enrolled or anticipating to enroll part-time or full-time at a four-year college or institution. Applicants should have an interest in leadership. Either the applicant or a parent of the applicant is required to have volunteer or employment experience in the area of community service. Applicants are required to have a minimum grade point average of 3.5. This school scholarship is available to citizens of the United States and non-United States citizens.
Requirements for Application: Resume, personal references, application, school transcript, letter of endorsement from the nominee’s chapter, letter of support from a teacher other than the nominator. Deadline: February 10.
