Buckingham Memorial Scholarship
These scholarships are awarded to children of air traffic control specialist, who are seeking a bachelor’s degree or higher in any field of study. Applicants are required to be the children, biological or by adoption, of a person serving, or has served as an air traffic control specialist, be it with a private facility in the United States, the United States government, or the United States military.
Award: This scholarship is for use during freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate years. This scholarship is not renewable. Number: The number of scholarships awarded is 2-4. Amount: The amount of the scholarship awarded is $1,000-$2,500.
Requirements for Eligibility: The applicant is required to be enrolled or anticipating to enroll part-time or full-time at a four-year college or university. Either the applicant or a parent of the applicant is required to have volunteer or employment experience in the air traffic control field. This scholarship is only available to United States citizens.
Requirements for Application: Autobiography, essay composition, application, personal references, school transcript, and financial need assessment. Deadline: May 1.
