American Legion National Headquarters Eagle Scout Of The Year

The person that wins this contest will receive a $10,000 scholarship, and the 3 runners-up will each be presented with a scholarships of $2,500.  These four scholarships can be used to attend any state recognized postsecondary school in the United States.

Award: This scholarship is for use during freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior year of college.  This scholarship is not renewable.   Number:  The number of scholarships awarded is 4.   Amount: The amount of  the scholarships awarded are $2,500-$10,000.

Requirements for Eligibility: The applicant is required to be a 15-18 year old male high school student, who is planning to enroll or anticipating to enroll full-time at a two-year or four-year college or university.  Either the applicant or a parent of the applicant must have volunteer or vocational experience in community service.  This scholarship is available only to citizens of the United States.

Requirements for Application: Essay composition, application, personal references, and school transcript.  Deadline: March 1.
