American Foreign Service Association (AFSA) Scholarship Program
The American Foreign Service Association (AFSA) Financial Award Program is a need-based financial aid scholarship program. This scholarship program is open to students with a parent in the United States Government Foreign Service. The applicant is required to be enrolled or anticipating to enroll full-time at a two-year or four-year sanctioned college, university, community college, art school, conservatory, or institution. The applicant is required to sustain at least a 2.0 grade point average (GPA), and establish financial need.
Award: This scholarship is for use during freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior years. This scholarship is not renewable. Number: The number of scholarships awarded is 50 to 60. Amount: The amount of scholarships awarded is $1,000-$3,500.
Requirements for Eligibility: The applicant is required to be enrolled or anticipating to enroll full-time at a two-year or four-year school and single. The applicant or a parent of the applicant is required to have volunteer or employment experience in the United States government foreign service. This scholarship is only accessible to citizens of the United States.
Requirements for Application: Application, school transcript, CSS/financial aid profile, financial need assessment. Deadline: February 6.
