Delta Gamma Foundation Florence Margaret Harvey Memorial Scholarship

The American Foundation for the Blind provides an award of $1,000 to one undergraduate or graduate student who has shown excellence in academia.  Applicants are required to be studying rehabilitation and/or education of blind people or persons with visual impairment.  For complete information on application requirements, please visit Web site:  www.afb.org/scholarships.asp.

Academic Disciplines/ Professional Aspirations: Therapy/Rehabilitation; Education.

Award: This scholarship is for use during freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior years.  This scholarship is not renewable.  Number: The number of scholarships awarded is 1.  Amount: The amount of the scholarship awarded is $1,000.

Requirements for Eligibility: The applicant is required to be enrolled or anticipating to enroll part-time or full-time at a two-year or four-year college or university.  The applicant is required to be visually impaired.  This scholarship is only available to United States citizens.

Requirements for Application: Application, school transcript, personal references, essay composition, proof of legal blindness, and post-secondary acceptance.  Deadline: April 30.
