This scholarship is available to juniors and seniors who are women studying computer science, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering. These applicants must also demonstrate financial need and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Academic Disciplines/Professional Aspirations: Computer science/Data processing; Engineering/technology; Mechanical engineering; Electrical engineering/Electronics

Award: This is a nonrenewable scholarship to be applied to junior or senior years. There are 2 awards available in the amount of $2,250.

Requirements for Eligibility: Those who apply must either be presently enrolled in or anticipating enrollment in full time coursework at a four year university or institution and be women. Those who apply must have a minimum of 3.0 GPA as well as be US citizens.

Requirements for Application: Application, test scores, transcript, essay, references, financial need analysis, self-addressed stamped envelope. The deadline for these materials is February 1.

National Security Agency Stokes Educational Scholarship Program

This program offers renewable funding for students in high school who are planning to go to a four year undergraduate university or  institution that want to study foreign languages, mathematics, computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering. Applicants must be 16 years or older to apply, and be US citizens. A GPA of 3.0 or higher is required, and SAT scores must be 1100 or more. Academic Disciplines/Professional Aspirations: Mathematics; foreign language; electrical engineering/electronics; computer science/data processing.

Award: This is a renewable scholarship to be applied to the freshman year of school. There are 10 to 30 awards available in varying amounts.

Requirements for Eligibility: Those who apply must be high school students aged 16 or older who plan to enroll or anticipate enrollment for full time coursework at a four year university or institution. Those who apply must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and must be US citizens.

Requirements for Application: Application, resume, test scores, transcript, essay, references, interview. Deadline for these materials is November 30.

PHD ARA Scholarship

This scholarship is available to students studying computer science, journalism, or electronic engineering. Students who apply must be amateur radio operators. Students who are living in Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, or Nebraska, and students who are children of amateur radio operators who are deceased will be given preference. Each year, one award in the amount of $1,000 is given.
