<h3>American Chemical Society Scholars Program</h3>
<p>This is a renewable scholarship award for minority students studying in the fields of chemistry, chemical technology, chemical engineering, biochemistry, or any chemistry science.  The applicants are required to be United States citizens or permanent residents.  The applicants are required to have a <a title="Grade Point Average" href="http://www.school-scholarships.org/" target="_self">minimum grade point average</a> (GPA) of 3.0.  All applicants should be Native American, African-American, or Hispanic.</p>
<p><strong>Academic Disciplines/Professional Aspirations: </strong>Chemical Engineering; Natural Sciences; Paper and Pulp Engineering; Materials Science, Engineering, and Metallurgy.</p>
<p><strong>Award:</strong> This scholarship is for use during freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior years.  This scholarship is renewable.  <em>Number:</em> The number of scholarships awarded is 100 to 200.  <em>Amount:</em> The amount of the scholarships awarded is $1,000 to $5,000.</p>
<p><strong>Requirements for Eligibility: </strong>Applicants are required to be American Indian/Alaska Native, Black (non-Hispanic), or Hispanic and enrolled or anticipating to enroll full-time at a two-year, four-year, or technical school or university.  Applicants are required to have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0.  This scholarships is accessible only to United States citizens.</p>
<p><strong>Requirements for Application: </strong>Application, school transcript, test scores, personal references, and financial need assessment.  <em>Deadline: </em>March 1.</p>

<p>This award is given for outstanding research in physiology.  The student is required to be enrolled as an undergraduate student at the time of application, as well as during the time of the Experimental Biology annual meeting.  The applicant is required to be the first author on a submitted abstract for the Experimental Biology meeting.  The applicant is also required to be working with an American Physiological Society member  who  confirms that the student is entitled to first authorship.</p>
